Athena PTS mourns the loss of a valued colleague and friend, Mark Freel
Athena PTS mourns the loss of a valued colleague and friend, Mark Freel, who passed away unexpectedly on 25th May 2021.
Mark had worked for the company, since August 2020, and was part of our electrical installation team. He started his career as an apprentice with Vickers (now BAE Systems) before working on a variety of different projects, including windfarms and the HMS Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier.
Along with his wealth of technical experience, Mark was also friendly, sociable, and well-liked by all he came into contact with.
The sense of pride held by Mark, for his community, was evident by his willingness to volunteer for this year’s St. Mary’s Hospice Christmas tree collection fundraising event and through his support of his beloved Barrow AFC.
Mark’s passing is a sad loss for our company and he will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark’s family at this time.
